100% Yamadanishiki produced in Kushira
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol content 16%.
I live in Osaka, so I like to support sake from the Kinki region. I did some research and discovered Kushira in Nara. It was brewed by Tetsuya Sakai, the toji who has won the gold medal at the National New Sake Competition for 9 consecutive years, which made me want to drink it even more.
I bought it at the usual Miyawaki sake store and put it on the table at dinner.
When I poured it into a glass and put my nose close to it, the indescribably sweet aroma whetted my appetite.
The name of the sake comes from a place called Kushira in Nara Prefecture. It is made from 100% Yamadanishiki harvested here. With a rice polishing ratio of 60%, this sake is gently sweet to the taste and slightly effervescent and refreshing due to the nigori (nigori). The aftertaste has the original flavor of sake and is very drinkable. It is a delicious sake that you can't help but drink too much of. I would like to try Shinomine as well.
