かいこま
Today, I happened to find it at a local supermarket and immediately bought a 300 ml bottle.
Pouring it into a sake cup, I could smell the aroma of aging, which is typical of hiyaoroshi sake.
It is a junmai sake, so the aroma is subdued.
The taste is mellow with a hint of sweetness and acidity, with a bitter aftertaste.
Personally, I felt that this year's hiyaoroshi had a slightly stronger acidity. Personally, I felt that the acidity of this year's hiyaoroshi was a bit strong.
The mild yet stimulating acidity keeps you from getting tired of drinking it, so you can easily drink it again and again.
I paired it with grilled chicken with sauce (Negima skewers) as a snack, but since the sake has a beautiful acidity, I think it would also go well with grilled chicken with salt flavoring sprinkled with lemon juice.
Although the lingering summer heat is still ☀️ severe, hiyaoroshi is a sake that reminds us of the arrival of 🍁autumn.
Still, compared to the past, autumn sake such as hiyaoroshi and akiagari are being shipped earlier than in the past.
