Good morning!
Yesterday's dinner was sashimi and steamed matsutake mushrooms with sake, so naturally I served sake.
I was trying to decide what to serve, so I pulled out from the fridge in the back and found a bottle of True Red that I purchased online from Yajima Sake Shop.
The white was delicious, so I decided to try the red this time.
I took a picture of it, removed the plastic part holding the cap, and set it down. and the cap rolled on the floor.
I looked at the liquor and saw the cap. I looked at the bottle and saw that the cap was flying off. (@_@)
Sure, it said to be careful when uncorking the bottle, but I had never had the cap fly off before, even though I had seen the same sign on other sakes.
So, when I poured it into a small portion, I thought, "Sparkling? Is it beer? I thought, "Oh my God, that's a lot of foam!
The mouthfeel is sweet. It is very easy to drink. I thought it would have a stronger carbonation, but I guess it's not that strong.
Maybe it was the carbonation, but the flavor was moderate, and I didn't feel any sourness.
However, it was so easy to drink that I found myself finishing the whole bottle....
But I was so drunk that I posted this morning....
Thank goodness today is my day off....
It was very delicious! (^O^)
