I have the impression that the strong flavor of the original sake is rather just strong. There is not that much flamboyance, and although there is a hint of sweetness due to the daiginjo, it feels dry. The aftertaste is a little off-putting.
It's not bad, but I'm glad I didn't open it at the beginning of the year. LOL!
