kachikoma
Kiyoto
Kachikoma Kiyoto is a very small brewery, producing only a few hundred koku per year. The brewery is a "handmade" brewery where the brewer himself is involved in all processes.
The text on the label is by Mitsuo Ikeda, an artist who is a fan of Katsuma.
The origin of the name "Katsikoma" comes from Keisuke Seito, the first brewery owner, who returned from the Russo-Japanese War in 1906 (the year after the war ended) and opened a sake brewery in his hometown, Takaoka City, and named it "Katsikoma" to commemorate his victory in the war.
The intent of the piece is not known.
