We had a hiyaoroshi from Naraman, which we had always been curious about but never got around to trying.
Hiyoroshi is a somewhat classic style of sake with a lot of umami and suitable for room temperature, which is a hurdle for beginners. However, Naraman has both fruity and umami flavors and is very tasty. After much research, it seems to be a fresh sake.
It was described as a ripe pear, and it may indeed be like that.
