It's a local sake, so I tried it, and it's delicious!
My first sip was like, "I see, this is what the liquor store said about juicy melons!" I thought. After the melon-like aroma, it has a clean and easy-to-drink aftertaste. The 14% alcohol content is easy to drink, and there is a slight gassy feeling, so it goes down easy!
The sweetness increases after the second sip, but it is not too strong, so it will be over in no time.
I have to be careful because I want to enjoy the change in taste...
I may have found a nice local sake to take home! I'll have to try some of the others!
Cork opened 18 days.
The juiciness has gone away a lot and it has become more refreshing and a bit bitter. I think it was sweetest on the second day or so after opening the bottle.
What surprised me was that I noticed a cloudiness in the last few glasses. I never notice this because I don't pour sake.
The last few cups I could taste the rice that was precipitating out, it was mellow and had a sweetness to it that was different from the juicy rice, it was so good!
I enjoyed the change in flavor from beginning to end very much.
I emptied it today, the last day of work!
