We received a bottle of Ozeki Shuzo's "Sakura-michi" 🌸. This is a Junmai Daiginjo-shu made with 100% cherry blossom yeast from "Imazu Benikanzakura" and the highest grade of sake rice, Yamadanishiki, produced in Hyogo Prefecture ✨. When poured into a glass, it is light and soft on the palate, like cherry blossom petals softly dancing. The elegant acidity of the cherry blossom yeast and the moist sweetness of the rice from Yamadanishiki are in perfect harmony and gently spread in the mouth. The aftertaste disappears smoothly and cleanly, with a pleasant lingering finish. The aroma is subdued, so it goes well with not only Japanese food, but also Western food and light appetizers, and can be enjoyed on any occasion. It is a bottle with a spring-like appearance and name that will add a touch of color to your dining table. It was a sake that I would definitely like to taste during the cherry blossom season and that I could feel the delicate expression that only the Ozeki Sake Brewery can offer 😋🌸.
