Purchased at a product exhibition in Iwate.
Immediately after opening the bottle, it was fresh, with a strong gasiness and a muscat-like heady aroma. I thought it might be a sake with a quality that is less in vogue these days, but the dryness and lack of richness, or the lack of a lingering aftertaste, left a mismatched impression.
After the second day, it rounded out and the overall balance became more to my liking.
At the product exhibition, they were pushing the point that they are the oldest sake brewery in Iwate, but I see that the business was transferred to a company whose main business is pachinko.
In addition to innocent 40,50 and shichifukujin, there were labels with powerful drawings of heart star and yuzan, and brands with the Kame-no-o chapter, and the sales staff was very willing to offer tastings, which made a good impression on me. It was a real shame we had to come by car.
