ポチャタロウ
The second night in Hokkaido was spent at Sanzen Sakura. I heard it is called Michizakura. It seems that the sake brewer moved from Gifu to Hokkaido, and the rice is called Nanatsuboshi, which is familiar for food use. It has an elegant fruity flavor. The fruity flavor is well balanced with the acidity and reminds me of seasonal cherries. It was a very good sake without being cloying. The price is cheap and it is the best tasting sake ever under 1500 yen for a 4-pack! I will definitely try Aizan and Comet next time.
