The brewery was founded in 1863 in Ogawa-cho, a neighboring town, and in 1900, seeking the advantage of location and water, it opened a brewery along the road to Fukaya-juku on the Nakasendo Highway. The name of the brewery was derived from the idea of "sake with an inheritance as fragrant as a chrysanthemum and as pure as a fountain.
It is a dry, light sake with a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is quite refreshing.
Everyone loves the Character's Cup. The mascot character of Fukaya City was selected by the selection committee members from among 1,406 entries submitted from all over Japan, and "Fukkachan," which received the highest percentage of votes among the 11 entries selected by elementary and junior high school students, was chosen.
This is the 644th one-cup, one-pack festival.
