The color is beautiful light nigori.
The aroma is bitter and fruity like nigori. Looks delicious!
In the mouth, there is a slight refreshing sourness and sweetness. It has a complex sweetness and lactic acidity that is typical of nigori.
Is she a quiet girl? But then, at the end, the umami bitterness comes in with a bang! And then, it breaks off quickly.
Oh, wow! It is dry, refreshing, and lightly nigori. Exactly what it says! Yum!
It is a very robust sake, but it is an excellent food sake that does not interfere with the meal. It went well with all of the entrées: roasted duck, shrimp tartar, and corn tempura.
It is easy to drink even though it is +7.5 at 17 degrees Celsius. The acidity of 1.9 is also surprising. It is not so mellow and refreshing.
If I were to compare it to Ghibli's "From Up On Poppy Hill," it would be Kazama-kun. He is a hard-edged, refreshingly good-looking young man. His upbringing is a bit bitter, but he grows up honestly.
