Sake from Saitama
Kahayohayaka: sakekazuke Musashi Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama-shu
I bought it because it happened to be on sale at a liquor store I went into. It is a popular sake that is also one of the top 10 best sake on SAKETIME. It had been sitting in the fridge for a few months and I finally had my turn to drink it. Sake Musashi is the name of sake rice produced in Saitama.
The aroma is pineapple! Very aromatic. But does it taste like pineapple? Many reviews say it tastes like pineapple juice, but the acidity and bitterness come first, and it does not taste like mellow umakuchi. I wonder if it is just the sake Musashi. Hmmm... Next time, I will try Omachi.
