A sales person from Hakkaisan visited our favorite liquor store. Our family's order of the day was crab legs for kani-sukiyaki. ❗️ I asked the sales lady what bottles would go well with the kani-sukiyaki, and she recommended three. The sales lady recommended three bottles: "The standard special honjozo: delicious cold or hot," "Seasonal Junmai Daiginjo," and "Shiboritate Harazake.
*The special honjozo has been a favorite for a long time.
*The Shiboritate Harasake has a robust flavor, and if the crab you order tastes light, it will beat it!
Therefore, I chose the seasonal Junmai Daiginjo. The result was a great answer: ❗️ The crab we ordered had a light flavor, so the Junmai Daiginjo was sufficient.
If the crab was not frozen but boiled on the beach and arrived the next day, "Shiboritate Hara Sake" was the best choice.
It went well with the Chinese cabbage, mushrooms, kuzukiri, taro, etc. after the kani-sukiyaki. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
