It is a special junmai, but its aroma is impressive. Although it is labeled as a dry sake, I could definitely taste the sweetness and umami, and then the bitterness to finish. This is a very well made sake. It's not a junmai sake for the local market, but a sake for a wider target market.
When heated, the sweetness comes forward a little and the bitterness mellows out nicely. This sake has a different expression at any temperature, but I think it is a good sake for everyone. I went to buy some shochu for the summer and bought it because it was cheaper, but it was a hit.
