I've been wanting to drink it for a while now 🐰🐰🎶.
This is a new brand created by Motosaka Sake Brewery in Mie Prefecture in 2021.
This sake is brewed with naturally grown rice in a traditional sake brewing method based on the concept that sake brewing goes back to agriculture.
The rice used is ancient rice ✨ISE-NISHIKI, which was revived by Motosaka Shuzo, with a milling ratio of 65% and an Alc of 16.
The KINO made with naturally grown rice costs close to 4,000 yen for 720ml, so this white label is made with Ise-Nishiki, which is not naturally grown, even though it is made with the same structure. Still, it is a bit expensive at around 2,500 yen💦.
Since it is a new brand sake, I imagined it would be a modern sake, but it is a very classic sake🙀.
It has a robust and powerful flavor that is the complete opposite of flamboyant and elegant. If I were to use an analogy, it would be like a man who is rugged and uncommunicative, but you feel at ease with him 💕.
I thought it was great that it was bold but not too peculiar, and that it cut through cleanly.
I would like to compare it with naturally grown rice someday 🌸.
