It is nigori sake that I want to drink for some reason, and I drink it every year. I think that the fact that Kawanakajima's Genmai has become difficult to obtain (it is sold at the former Ikebukuro Seibu sake department store, but not at the Yamada sake shop) does not have any influence on my personal desire to drink it. It is not the sweet nigori sake of the nigori season at the end of the year, but a dry, crisp, hard-bodied sake with a high concentration of nigori without being too sweet. During the battle of Kawanakajima, I am a great admirer of Kenshin Uesugi, and I once enjoyed this nigorizake at a soba restaurant named "Yokozuna" after visiting the ruins of the old battlefield. Shinshu is fascinating. I would like to revisit the legend of the one-on-one battle between Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda in Kawanakajima, Nagano City.
