The week is somehow over.
Today, my wife and I decided to do a sake tasting with my brother-in-law and his wife.
Houou Mita GOLD PHEONIX by Kobayashi Sake Brewery, which I was told about when I started Sake-no-Wa.
I had always wanted to try it, but when I was looking for another sake, I happened to come across it and had no hesitation in getting it.
First of all, the aroma. It smells like a faintly sweet aroma.
The first sip is refreshingly sweet, and the mouthfeel is very tasty, balanced out by the refreshing bitterness of the second half of the saké.
The second sip has a different impression from the first as the bitterness comes to the surface.
The third glass has a sweetness that comes to the surface and a refreshing bitterness that lingers until the second half of the glass - I love this sake 😊.
My wife said that the first sip was sweet and smooth, but it gradually became sharp.
There is nothing more blissful than good sake after work 🎵.
