I wanted to try this sake for a long time. Who wouldn't? The name is Drunken Whale and there is a whale on the label. Awesome!
The aroma is not strong but it smells nicely of rice, wood and sweet flowers. The acidity is prominent, with umami of rice and koji. It is dry but not spicy. Despite being junmai the flavor is not very rich so it is very versitile and suitable for food
