I always drink Kangiku, but this Monochrome is new to me. I heard that the rice has been changed to Yamashu No. 4 this year, but in any case, it is my first time drinking it, so I can't compare the two.
It has a moderate acidity and, as is typical of Kangiku, a sweetness and umami that is more gorgeous than usual.
It is really great that every sake has a core that is typical of Kangiku and expresses different scenes with subtle changes in nuance!
As the concept suggests, it is perfect for drinking on a cool autumn evening while reminiscing about summer 😊.
