ariccy
A summer-only sake named after the river festival, a traditional event to give thanks for the blessings of the water.
The specs are exactly the same as the regular Hozumasu Gonohozo, but the brewing time may make a difference.
First of all, I'd like to say that you need to be careful when opening the bottle... this is seriously the most dangerous of all the regular draft sake, and the bottle will fly open with as much force as the active sake!
The aroma is of melon and yogurt.
The acidity hasn't changed much, but it seems to have become a little drier.
Maybe it's because the sweetness has decreased.
The taste is certainly not as sweet as the last San-do and is relatively refreshing.
But it has a strong umami flavor that keeps it drinkable, and it's different from the usual light summer sake.
Overall, I'd say it's like a slightly easier to drink version of Hozu.
You'd have to compare the two to know for sure.
Anyway, there is no need to worry that it tastes completely different.
