I've been intrigued ever since I found out it existed!
I had no idea that sake is made in a building in the middle of Tokyo!
And the brewing water is tap water, and they even use unwashed rice these days!
When I went home for New Year's, I stopped by the Hasegawa Sake Shop in Tokyo Station's Gransta and finally found it ✨.
At first, there was only one type of sake available, so here it is. It is a Junmai Ginjo made entirely from Omachi.
Sweet and sour aroma like banana. Nutty aroma in the distance.
It has umami at first, but it also has acidity and a spicy aftertaste.
The sweetness comes later.
Yummmm!
Now I want to visit the brewery 😆.
