I came across it while I was at the liquor store to check out the items and bought it immediately. I got lucky with the last bottle at this store. It is a different sake rice from Toyo Bijin, this time Hakutsuru Nishiki. This is a limited edition sake made from Hakutsuru brewery's sake rice.
I tried it right away and found it to be sweeter than the other Toyo Bijin. It is not a fruity sweetness, but more like the taste of the ingredients, like cotton candy or mizuame. It is still easy to drink and tastes great with almost no pungency, but it is still sweet. It is a top candidate among the ones I have had so far.

I had a variety of them this year, but Hakutsuru-nishiki is the one I felt had the most sweetness ✨.
