I went to the liquor store for the first time in a while for Yamori. I was also informed that a sparkling Tasake was in stock, so this was one of my other objectives.
Blue bottle with blue letters. It was summer after all. The moment I saw it, I opened the refrigerator.
After I got home, I checked the bottle and found that it was my favorite directly pumped sake. I am looking forward to drinking it.
It has been a little while since the bottle was opened, but the slight fizzy sensation when the bottle was opened is gone a little. It's not a shwashy sake to begin with, so it doesn't bother me too much.
Now, the taste. It is usually rich, sweet, and juicy, but it is less sweet, perhaps because it is made with summer in mind. The spiciness is a little more assertive than the standard sake. This pungent taste accentuates the flavor and is quite good even in this hot season. However, it still has a strong flavor, so there may be different tastes.
Today, I paired it with mapo-doufu (bean-curd soup seasoned with red pepper), and it went perfectly with the sweaty mapo-doufu.
