The first new sake is Junmai-shu from Akabu!
Since new sake is always released relatively early in the season, the first new sake of the season tends to be Akabu every year, lol!
The taste is fresh and fruity with a hint of apple, which is typical of Akabu.
It is a junmai sake, so the umami is relatively strong rather than the aroma, but this time it had just the right amount of umami.
As always, it is a delicious sake, and I think Akabu's junmai and junmai ginjo lines are the most cost-effective.
It is reasonably priced, and you can really feel the characteristics of Akabu's sake.
I haven't had the high-end line for a while...lol
I think I will drink Akabu again.
