SAMURAIZ
It is the summer solstice. It is quite hot and beer is good, but I dare you to have a "summer sake".
It is Banshu Issen's summer light nigori.
I opened the bottle, excited by the "beware of opening" tag. When I opened the screw cap, I could feel the oily gasses rising from the bottom of the bottle without shaking the bottle.
Pouring the bottle into a glass, you can see the nigorigo. Bubbles can also be seen on the surface.
When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the gas, but it has a surprisingly strong flavor. As the label says, it is indeed La France-like.
Even though the rice polishing ratio is 55%, it is a beautiful sake with no bitterness or other unpleasant tastes, thanks to "shingin mai" (rice polished to perfection).
We enjoyed it with chikuwa.
