It is a sake brewed in Maebashi by a young couple, and the amount of brewing is probably not so large. The sake is made with soft water from the Tone River, and most of the brands of Machida Shuzo are made by directly pumping the squeezed sake into bottles without using tanks. It is unfiltered raw sake, but in this case, there is almost no (no?) sense of gas. The taste is sweet like pineapple, but there is a light bitterness in the aftertaste, so it is refreshing to drink. The fresh fruitiness settles down as the day goes on, but it's still juicy enough to keep you happy for a while. I've heard that it's recommended to drink it chilled, but I certainly think it's better chilled than warmed up. As a fruity sake, I highly recommend it. Purchased from: Masumoto Goppongi
