Chokki
Teisho Hachimenreiroku
15% 60% Brewing alcohol
1650 yen for 720ml
Purchased at Matsuoka Brewery in Saitama. The label is again very powerful, but what does it taste like? It is called "Hachimenreiro" (meaning "eight-sided translucent"). It means "beautiful and clear in every direction. It means "having no vacillation in one's mind. It is also said to mean "having a clear and beautiful face on all sides and a clear mind.
The first sip after opening the bottle.
The entrance is a bit peculiar, but it is clear and transparent. The freshness of the freshly stored sake is also preserved in the sake, and the freshness shows through the lack of umami.
As you continue drinking, you will notice that the bitterness is quite strong. The bitterness is intertwined with the alsophilic taste, but this is okay.
On the label, there are words "Shinmai Shinshu" (new rice and new sake).
It is a limited edition of 500 bottles. However, the price of 1,650 yen is a bit expensive.
I remember that Teimatsu came to a sake event in Shinagawa-Nakanobu every year a few years ago, but I had a strong image of "heavy-bodied sake". I feel a little heaviness in my stomach when I drink red wine, and I felt that Teimatsu has something similar. I recently learned about the high hardness of the water, and I wonder if that had something to do with it.
