DATE SEVEN SEASON2 episode4 Urakasumi style - Sea of Tradition
This is an annual project in which seven breweries in Miyagi Prefecture collaborate to produce sake. It has become the biggest and most important responsibility in the first half of every year in recent years to remember to reserve a bottle of this sake.
Two breweries serve as leaders and are supposed to finish one bottle each, and this is the work led by Saura of Urakasumi.
The elaborate labels are also a highlight each year, this time featuring the coastline of Shiogama City, where Urakasa has its brewery, in a very stylish motif.
As the saying goes, "A boat with many boatmen climbs a mountain," and one wonders how much perfection can be achieved with seven breweries gathered together, but there is no need to worry about that.
The flavor of Urakasumi, the leader of the seven breweries, is the core of the wine, while nuances of each of the other breweries can also be felt, and yet the overall balance is perfect. In particular, the smooth slide from sweetness to umami that develops the moment you take a sip is simply beautiful. If I could, I would put this taste in a picture frame to decorate it.
The only drawback is that it disappears in an instant because it is too delicious, even though it is a precious sake that is only available once a year. Once you finish it, you will have to wait for a whole year until the seventh day of the seventh month next year, just like Orihime and Hikoboshi. It is fleeting.
