The top aroma is of rich junmai or grapes. It is a very nice aroma. When you drink it, it is very mild on the palate. The mild sweetness and a bit of spiciness spread out and the aftertaste is a bit bitter and finishes with a sharp finish. It has a heavier than expected flavor, and has a Japanese sake feel to it. The aroma has a gorgeous grape-like impression. It goes very well with food. The taste of sake is rich, but the taste of the ingredients is definitely perceptible, which is a strange sensation. It can be drunk on its own, but it is a bit heavy, so it is better during a meal. I paired it with a cured ham and was able to taste the saltiness of the ham. With a 40% milled rice ratio, one would expect it to be a bit more transparent, but the image is quite rich and heavy. I would like to savor it with a meal on anniversaries. As the label on the back says, it definitely has a grape-like flavor. It tastes like a rich wine or brandy. I could not taste much acidity. It is said to be dry, but it is not that dry.
