Initial sweet flavor quickly fades to a lingering tangy yogurt whey flavor. My wife says the aftertaste reminds her of cider. It’s okay pairing with sashimi but maybe it would go better with yakitori or yakiniku. I think Ashiri would a fine Sake to just drink as is without food.
