This is the fourth bottle that was delivered in bulk at a local sake shop near Aomori Station. This is a new brand that has arrived for the first time since the Rokka Sake Brewery closed its old brewery and moved to a new location. The owner of the sake shop recommended it to us, saying that it had just arrived.
It has a citrusy fruitiness that fits nicely with the flavor of Aomori rice.
Tonight is a light yuzu kosho flavored nabe, but it is something different. If I were to pair it with burdock root, would it be a side dish? Or scallops grilled with miso? Maybe it's like a local sake that goes well with Aomori's side dishes. ❗️ It should be great to drink at Aomori's izakaya (pubs). ‼️
I like the type, so I'll drink a little bit and try a little trial and error this weekend: ❤️
< Postscript.
After some trial and error, I think it goes well with soy sauce- or miso-flavored Japanese side dishes. From sashimi and oden to fried rice cake style okaki, soy sauce or miso is OK. ‼️
