The label is cute. Maybe it's because I'm drinking it while looking at the label, but the taste is delicious, with a refreshing, easy-going freshness. The aroma is mild.
This brand was introduced in 1977 and named after Masayuki Hoshina, the first lord of the Aizu domain, whose official rank was "lieutenant general.
In 2021, Yuri Hayashi, the seventh generation head of the brewery and the toji (female toji), will officially take over the brewery, and is currently promoting sake brewing from a woman's perspective while strengthening hygiene.
