The pufferfish we received had fins for fillet sake. Feeling obligated to enjoy it, I rummaged for sake that could be heated. I found some leftover sake that I had bought as a souvenir when I visited Koyasan last year. Kido, which I mentioned earlier, is also in Wakayama, so I thought it would be perfect. Popped a fillet. Go on boiling in hot water. The fillet was too burnt and it was a bit dry, but it was delicious.
