The sweetness and acidity come in quickly, followed by a rounded rice flavor. The sweetness and acidity are not very fruity, nor are they the same as the syrupy rummy sweetness of Saijotsuru, which I have had in the past.
The body is light, but the flavor is well defined. It is not a bad match with food. The low alcohol content (14%) makes it easy to drink without any lingering alcohol taste, and it was finished in no time at all.
