Souvenirs from the Echigo Nagaoka Sake Festival: cranes and fried tofu from Onda Sake Brewery. A bottle to go with thick fried bean curd, a specialty of Nagaoka. This time I grilled the fried tofu with miso and green onions, and served it hot according to the label on the bottle. It was very refreshing. It is a little acidic and has a very good sharpness, with almost no aftertaste. It goes well not only with fried bean curd, but also with Japanese fermented foods such as miso and soy sauce.

Thank you for your comment, Yukachin. The Nagaoka Sake no Yumi was a wonderful event with reserved seating and a great selection of snacks. Tsuru and Abura-age is a good sake with an attractive label, tasty to drink, and affordable!
