The more pink labels in liquor stores, the more springtime it feels. This sake is made from Misato Nishiki, Akita's rice suitable for sake brewing. Misato Nishiki is a rice that can be grown in Akita, a cold region, with Yamadanishiki as its father. It seems that there are rather few plantings of this rice. It does not have a piquant feeling when opened, but when you drink it, it has a juicy melon or peach flavor. The acidity is not very strong, but it is refreshing. It is a very tasty sake that is nicely integrated. If you want to match it with food, white-meat fish sashimi would be a good choice. Also, it would be good with oden or other dishes with kelp dashi. It is a good sake that seems to go well with a variety of dishes.
