This "red sake" was given to me by a person in Niigata.
It is made from "Murasaki Kuromai," an ancient rice produced in Joetsu, and this color is said to be due to the natural anthocyanin-based purple-black pigment contained in Murasaki Kuromai.
Anthocyanin is a type of polyphenol that is said to enhance eyesight and strengthen liver function. It is the most powerful way to drink alcohol and strengthen liver function.
As it looks, it has a subtle sourness and sweetness, and seems to be good to drink lightly on the rocks.
I think it is nice to have a drink that can be drunk like a cocktail.
