A friend of mine gave me this mountain well. I've seen it often, but this is the first time I've had it 🍶.
The top aroma is quite strong, with a fresh, sweet, fruity aroma like muscat.
The taste is sweet on the palate, but is quickly followed by a strong umami flavor, with a nice acidity and sharpness that keeps it from being too sweet. The sweet overtone is also strong, as is the top aroma, which gives the impression of sweetness.
The lingering finish is long, and the umami and sweetness remain.
Overall, I had the impression of a well-balanced sake 😄But it was a drink that made me realize that "well-balanced" can take many forms ✨.
