Ibaraki Sake
Raifuku mottled sake
Raifuku is an Ibaraki sake. I had a previous Raifuku Pineapple that was very fruity and delicious, so I had high expectations for the Moromi Sake as well. When opened, it has a mild sweetness bursting with a slight carbonation. The texture is smooth. The sourness comes a little later, but there is no cloying taste. It is very easy to drink. When I poured it into a glass again a few days later, the carbonation was gone and the taste had changed to sweet and sour. There is no alcohol taste at all, so it is like a fruit juice. It is a mellow and soft sake, not clear and refined like Daimine Fuyu no Otoshiri. At 2,150 yen (excluding tax) for a bottle, it is a sake that I would like to drink all the time because of its excellent cost performance and the easy availability in my hometown of Ibaraki.
