disry
A very expensive bottle of Koei Kiku that I had inadvertently popped on the Internet as a conditioned reflex. After buying it, I was afraid to open it, so I quietly put it away in the back of the refrigerator, but finally opened the bottle.
The aroma was caramel, raisins, and mirin. This is the aroma of aging. Intense.
Anyway, it is sweet. I'm not even sure if it's sake or not anymore...
The sweetness is quickly followed by a sourness that is quite stimulating to the palate. The aftertaste is surprisingly short, probably because the alcohol taste is not strong.
Hmmm, I wonder what to do with this one. Maybe I'll try a soda later. It was one of the most expensive liquors I bought in my life, but I learned a good lesson.
