Hato Masamune was founded in 1897. It is the only brewery in Towada City, where winters are bitterly cold. The brand name comes from the fact that a white dove that lived in the brewery in the early Showa period was enshrined as a guardian god. The product is distributed exclusively by special dealers.
This season, instead of Yamada-Nishiki, it is made from 50% polished Gin-Karaboshi rice produced in the prefecture and 13% alcohol. It is perfect for summer days and should be served crisp and chilled.
When I opened the bottle, I almost spilled the bubbles that were bubbling up. The gasiness, acidity, and elegant sweetness are delicious!
The side dishes were soaked garland chrysanthemum and mackerel with grated ponzu. Kimchi, white rice and vegetable miso soup. The flavors go well together. The after-dinner sweet was a dove sable that was given to us by chance.
