新舘幸樹
I have been curious about this sake for a while, but it is a bit of a challenge for me because I have an image of Kochi sake as being quite dry.
As I expected, it does not have the gorgeous aroma that is typical of Kochi. When chilled, the five tastes become disjointed and unsettled, but if you let it sit at room temperature for a little while, it changes outfits.
The sourness, bitterness, and sweetness come first, followed by a slight sweetness in the middle.
The final stage is pungent.
It is more refreshing to drink it cold than at room temperature. When the temperature rises, there is a slight stickiness, which is probably due to the sugar content of the rice.
In the winter, it may seem a bit dry, but I think it is good as an in-between-dinner drink.
The price of this sake has gone up sharply in recent years, but the fact that it can be purchased for only 3,000 yen (tax included) is also attractive.
