Snow Crane Black This is one of the set of Niigata Sake Tour in August. The Tahara Sake Brewery in Itoigawa brews sake using natural spring water from the foot of Mount Kubiki Komagatake. They named the dry taste series of Yukitsuru "Black" because the local gourmet in Itoigawa is named "Black" (Black Yakisoba, etc.). With a light mouthfeel It has a refreshing bitterness and spiciness. It is a light dry taste with umami. It has a sharp and crisp taste. It is refreshing and easy to drink. Easy to match with meals. If you warm it up lukewarm, you'll feel the alcohol kicking in at the back of your throat. The sweetness mellows out and it's good, too. Yukitsuru has patented a process that uses a water treatment machine used by NASA called a hydro-treater, which they claim makes their sake "refreshing and fun to sober up. === Ingredients: Rice (domestic), Rice malt (domestic), Brewing alcohol Rice: "Koiibuki" and "Gohyakumangoku" (rice grown in Niigata Prefecture) Alcohol content: 16 degrees Sake strength: +10.0 Cold === ★★☆☆☆
