This sake is from Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture.
CUVEE" is a wine term meaning "made in a separate process from other wines or other fermenters. I don't know much about wine because I don't drink it, but I guess it means something like a specially selected product.
Tajima Shuzo is a Yamahai brewery that has been ambitiously producing sake with a wine-like flavor, such as CUVEE and rice wine. It is a brewery to watch out for.

Sweeter than the rice wine I had previously tasted and a little less acidic, I personally find it a little easier to drink than the rice wine.
Both the woman in attendance, who had almost zero experience with sake, and her sake-loving friend were delighted.
