It's "ARNAMI" at my favorite Abe-san's place.
The interesting thing about this sake is that it is made from the same rice every year, and the process is the same.
But the quality of the rice is different each year, and some years it dissolves easily in water, and some years it does not...
This time, it doesn't dissolve easily and has a sharp taste, so we chose "ARANAMI".
Rough seas...
I wonder if it's rough...
But I can't say I'm an Abe fan if I drink "SAZANAMI" and don't drink this!
So I recently bought this one since it was still in the store😊.
I'm so glad I did! I loved it😍.
It's not rough, but it has a clear outline and a sharp taste.
It's not rough, but it's still sharp, and the gasiness of the sake and the aroma reminds me a little of ramune or cider.
I had an image of Gohyakumangoku being dry, but this has a good amount of umami and a little acidity in the aftertaste.
If you think of it as a sake-within-a-sake, I thought Araha would be better than Sazanami.
Either way, it's delicious!
