The name of this sake, "Utashiro Zuika" is a Japanese word meaning "snowflake," and as stated on the label, the theme of this sake seems to be to enjoy quiet and elegant moments like snowflakes.
Personally, I feel that this naming sense makes me want to enjoy its theme and taste yukkyoku.
When opened, the aroma is more gentle and subdued than other Gagakuyo. It has a slightly thickened, mildly light sweetness and a slight sourness.
It has sweetness, but the aftertaste is refreshing without being overpowering. I think you can spend time with this sake alone as a mealtime sake. Delicious 😋.
