The sake I chose when I returned home for Obon was Gold Junmai Daiginjo by Popular Sake Brewery.
This sake brewery is very particular about the traditional method of making sake, and everything is made in wooden vats.
It is a junmai daiginjo that is polished to 50%, so there is no cloying taste at all ✨It starts with an elegant sweetness and rice flavor, with the aroma of the wooden vat and a slight bitterness at the end. Delicious 😊.
