It was miraculously reissued in recent years and is said to be sake brewed with "homase," a native Kumamoto species from the Edo period that was naturally grown on the company's own farmland and by farmers in the Kikuchi River system.
It has been a year since I bought it, and I opened the bottle late and blew the lid off without incident.
It is slightly carbonated and a bit sour like pineapple or mandarin oranges!
