Attracted by the name "Hotaru" and the label. I drank it cold. It is said that this is the creek behind the brewery where fireflies fly around. The environment where fireflies can live must be a well-preserved clear stream. It is refreshing, but not too sharp and soft on the palate. Since it is billed as a "summer sake," I imagined it would have a sharp taste like shaved ice, but when I drank it, I found it to be gentle, soft, and mild. It reminded me of the original coolness of summer, even though the global environment has become so hot that it makes me want to jump into the air conditioner. I was looking for sake from Tochigi Prefecture on the map of Japan where I have already tasted sake, because I had not yet reached Tochigi Prefecture. The taste of sake has a local story and invites reflection. Purchased at Yamauchiya, Nippori in August, 2012

Hi Koji 😃
Congratulations on your first Tochigi sake at Ona-san ㊗️ 🎉You are right, I would love to drink sake with a fan on the porch while watching the fireflies 😌.
